BREAK FREE FROM PFAS™
Ovivo’s patented Electrochemical Oxidation (EO) System, featuring E2metrix technology, leverages more than a decade of experience in developing, designing, fabricating, and delivering commercial EO solutions for a wide range of applications and contaminants.
All features from our commercial EO reactors – robust industrial design, optimized hydraulics from CFD modeling, ease of maintenance, automated and remote operations, high energy efficiency – have been incorporated into Ovivo’s EO for Onsite PFAS Destruction
In electrochemical oxidation (also known as electro-oxidation), an electrical current is passed through water being treated continuously in an EO reactor. Direct electron transfer at the anode surface, and oxidants generated in the water lead to breaking these C-F bonds into carbon dioxide (CO2) and fluoride (F–), both which are harmless at these low levels. When EO is integrated with concentration and polishing steps, this integrated treatment solution can significantly reduce the treatment costs vs current adsorption only approaches. Moreover, EO can be easily operated at the site of capture, avoiding transportation and liability concerns.

High destruction efficiencies
are achievable using Ovivo’s EO
in a wide variety of water treatment
applications:
Drinking water
plant
Landfill leachate

Industrial wastewater
(ex. Surface finishing, semiconductors,
PFAS manufacturing)
EO for onsite PFAS destruction can be configured (e.g. anode selection) and adapted to meet your technical, regulatory, and financial needs. More importantly, EO is one tool in Ovivo’s toolbox of concentration, destruction, and polishing unit operations. Ovivo can provide a single processing step or the complete, overall integrated PFAS treatment train, your best bet for a cost-effective solution.
